Day 5

Today was spent resting and recharging after such a fun but busy week. I slept in, got some food, and then took a nap. After my nap, I went for a walk through Aix and explored a local perfumerie. I then read in front of the Église de la Madeleine church while watching kids playing football in the square. I then stopped by this pottery shop, which lets you pick blank pottery and paint it yourself, then they glaze and fire it for you, and you can pick it up. It is called Barbotyne, but sadly, it takes a month to receive your creation back, so I will be unable to make one. Alexi and I then stopped into a clothing store and the owner was a nice old French gentleman who told us stories about the fashion industry. After walking around more, we stopped to sit for dinner in Place de l’Hotel de Ville, where we ate pizza slices and watched a street performing band.
